Our Story

How Cold Lava Studio Came Into Being

Cold Lava Studio did not begin as a business plan.
It began as a conversation, a curiosity, and a shared belief — that life can be restructured when awareness meets intention.

We are a holistic lifestyle solutions brand built on the idea that change is possible when you understand yourself deeply and act consciously. Our work blends modern psychological understanding with alternative healing practices to help people realign their lives — practically, emotionally, and energetically.

Where the Spark Came From

At the heart of Cold Lava Studio is Priyanka — the one who first saw possibility in what already existed.

Coming from a strong business background, trained as a lawyer in London, and raised in a family of industrialists, Priyanka had a natural ability to recognise structure, potential, and scalability. Where others saw hobbies and intuitive interests, she saw something more meaningful.

It was Priyanka who proposed the idea:
What if this knowledge, this craftsmanship, this intuition could become a brand — something people could access and benefit from?

That question gave Cold Lava Studio its first form.

The Roots That Shaped the Brand

Saurabh Masurkar had always been drawn to stones, crystals, and jewellery — long before they became part of a brand.

Growing up in Mulund, Mumbai, in a pre-internet world, Saurabh spent his childhood collecting colourful crystals found in construction sand, sorting them carefully, and storing them as quiet treasures. His curiosity deepened in the 1990s when his parents gifted him the World Book Encyclopedia. Without Google or digital distractions, he spent hours reading, identifying stones, understanding their mineral composition, and learning about their physical and spiritual properties.

Over time, this fascination evolved into skilled handmade jewellery creation, alongside a growing understanding of crystals.

Parallelly, Saurabh built a professional life as a corporate trainer with over 22 years of experience, working closely with people, behaviours, mindsets, and transformation. Through years of coaching and training, one insight became clear — human lives are shaped not just by talent or effort, but by conditioning, emotional patterns, and lived experiences.

Intuition Finds Language

Around the same time, Anil Amar Lal Manghani, a close friend, brought another dimension into the journey.

Anil had always been deeply intuitive — often sensing emotional truths, behavioural patterns, and life situations with striking clarity. What was once instinctive later found structure when he began studying and practicing Tarot card reading.

Coming from a family of goldsmiths, Anil also carried a natural connection to craftsmanship, symbolism, and sacred design — making his intuitive understanding both grounded and expressive.

Together, these experiences began to intersect naturally — without labels, without roles, without hierarchy.

From Jewellery to Meaning

Cold Lava Studio initially took shape as a handmade jewellery brand, and the response was warm and encouraging. The brand found its audience, and things seemed to flow — until the world paused.

When COVID hit, priorities shifted. Jewellery became less relevant. Physical spaces shut down. Like many small businesses, we faced uncertainty, financial pressure, and a deep question:

What is this brand really meant to be?

In that period of confusion, we turned inward — seeking guidance, reflection, and clarity through Tarot.

The message was simple yet powerful:
Do not stop. Evolve.

The Reinvention

As the brand slowly moved online — without a clear strategy or expectations — something unexpected happened.

People stopped asking about designs.
They began asking about the crystals themselves.

  • What does this stone help with?

  • How does it support emotions or clarity?

  • Why does it feel grounding or energising?

That curiosity unlocked years of lived knowledge, study, and experience. What had always been present now found relevance.

Saurabh began structuring his crystal knowledge more formally, integrating psychological understanding, behavioural insights, and healing principles. Priyanka brought clarity, systems, and direction. Anil’s intuitive guidance added depth and reflection.

Cold Lava Studio naturally evolved into what it is today — a space for guidance, awareness, and intentional change.
