Skip the guesswork — pick a rakhi for what you actually want to wish for him.
The thinking behind eight rakhis built for eight different wishes.
The cousin who grew up in your house. Your bhabhi, who gets a lumba beside his rakhi. The friend who has shown up like family for years. Each of them deserves a different wish this year — pick a rakhi for every wrist on your thali, one intention at a time.
A rakhi is the one thread a brother never picks for himself. A Rakhi By Intention takes that choice further — instead of a design chosen for looks, you choose by what you actually want for him this year, and the rakhi arrives carrying genuine crystals traditionally matched to that intention. A unique rakhi design built around a wish, not just a wrist.
Whatever you want for him this year, there is a rakhi here that carries it.
A quick guide by Cold Lava Studio
Not every sister wants to pick a rakhi by number or star sign. Sometimes the simplest question is the right one: what do you actually want for him this year? Here is how to answer it in under a minute.
Is he stepping into exams or a big decision? Choose Focus. Starting a new job or business? Choose Growth or Confidence. Going through a rough patch? Choose Protection or Strength. The wish comes first, the rakhi follows it.
Use the chooser higher up this page, pick the intention that fits him right now, and the rakhi matched to it finds itself.
Written by Saurabh Masurkar, Founder of Cold Lava Studio · 20+ years of crystal research
Most rakhis are chosen for how they look on the day. Over twenty years of working with crystals, I kept meeting sisters who wanted something more — not a nicer thread, but a rakhi that carried an actual wish for their brother's year ahead.
So we built eight, each around one intention rather than one look. Two lean on prosperity, because most families are quietly hoping for an easier year financially. One leans on protection, for the brother every sister worries about a little more than the rest. One leans on focus, for the one mid-exam or mid-decision. Each stone pairing follows a tradition that has carried these meanings for generations — we didn't invent the associations, we just made sure the rakhi built on top of them would actually last the year.
I want to be honest here, the way we always have been. I won't promise a stone will change his bank balance or his exam result. What I have observed, across two decades of working with thousands of people, is quieter than that. A rakhi chosen for an intention becomes a small, repeated reminder — of protection, of focus, of the exact thing his sister wished for him. That reminder tends to matter more than any of us expect it to.
Whoever you're tying for this year — brother, cousin, bhabhi, or the friend who's family in every way that counts — there is a wish here worth choosing on purpose.
What if I want more than one intention for him?
Many sisters do — several families order two or three from this page for the same brother. Each is worn on its own or together.
Are the crystals real?
Yes. Every stone is a genuine natural crystal, GII-certified, the same grade we use in our bracelets.
What's the difference between the two Money Magnet Rakhis?
Both are built around prosperity. The Green uses Green Aventurine and leans toward new opportunities and growth; the Brown leans toward steady, grounded abundance.
Will it reach before Raksha Bandhan?
Raksha Bandhan 2026 falls on Friday, 28 August. We ship pan-India from our Mumbai studio, and each design is made in a small batch, so ordering early is the safe road.
What happens to it after the festival?
The crystals are his to keep. Many brothers carry them in a pocket, keep them at a desk, or hold on to the rakhi itself as a keepsake.
Every sibling is different — here are two more ways to choose a rakhi that fits.
